Step 3: Understand Connection Parameters
The global entry gateway for BytesFlows datacenter proxies is:
p1.bytesflows.com:8001
You can customize routing behavior by appending parameter tags to your username:
| Parameter | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
u- | Username prefix (required) | u-myuser |
-loc- | Target 2-letter country code (optional) | -loc-US, -loc-DE |
-s- | Session identifier for sticky routing (optional) | -s-job_01 |
-t- | Session duration in minutes (1~120, optional) | -t-30 |
Connection String Examples
# Rotating mode (new IP on each request):
u-myuser:mypassword@p1.bytesflows.com:8001
# United States exit with 30-minute sticky session:
u-myuser-loc-US-s-session1-t-30:mypassword@p1.bytesflows.com:8001
Step 4: Verify with cURL
Run the following test in your terminal:
HTTP Proxy Test
curl -x http://u-myuser-loc-US:mypassword@p1.bytesflows.com:8001 https://ipinfo.io/json
SOCKS5 Proxy Test
curl -x socks5://u-myuser-loc-US:mypassword@p1.bytesflows.com:8001 https://ipinfo.io/json
If the response JSON indicates "country": "US", your proxy is working properly!
